Poor Kanye West. The rapper is ‘working himself into the grave’ to be a role model to the striving artists on his G.O.O.D music label, we’ve EXCLUSIVELY learned. Yeezy’s been set on proving that dreams can become a reality, but only with hard work.
Kanye West, 39, was transported to UCLA Medical Center on Nov. 21, after reportedly suffering from “temporary psychosis” brought on by sleep deprivation and dehydration. Now, we discover the selfless reason behind the more-work, less-play mentality that led to his hospitalization. “Yeezy’s been working himself into the grave for years because he was really trying to show the younger artists on his label that they could have it all if they worked hard! Family. Fame. Fortune,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “Kanye would go on tour for weeks at a time, take a day or two off to see his family, go to meetings for his fashion line, than hop back on tour.”
Our source continued, “Dude worked harder in a month than most people do in their lives. Desiigner, Teyana Taylor, Travis Scott and virtually everyone on G.O.O.D Music saw Ye as this larger than life figure and he didn’t want to let them down, nor did he want to let himself down either. Right now, everyone’s just hoping he gets better and take all the time he needs to rest and relax.” Us too! Kanye shockingly pulled the plug on his high-grossing Saint Pablo tour on Nov. 20, cancelling the remainder of his shows that were booked until the end of the year. Shortly before that, he skipped a rescheduled gig at the Los Angeles Forum.
It’s uncertain how long Yeezy will have to stay hospitalized, but he’s reportedly been placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold. Emile Hirsch, Janelle Monae, Rose McGowen and more stars have since taken to social media to send their well-wishes to the rapper. “I hope u all pray for @kanyewest too,” Marlon Wayans added. “He’s not just an artist but he’s a father, a son a husband and above human. Get well soon.”
