Oh no! ‘DWTS’ professional Gleb Savchenko shockingly came down with the flu at the worst time, days before the highly anticipated finale of season 23! Will he be able to get better in time to compete for the Mirrorball Trophy with Jana Kramer? Get the scoop here!
Gleb Savchenko, 33, is hoping for a speedy recovery, but it looks like the Dancing With The Stars pro will have to keep his fingers crossed. “He has the flu and has to rest up this weekend so he can hopefully dance on Monday,” a source told People on Nov. 19. Gleb has been preparing to take the stage with his lovely partner Jana Kramer, 32, for the Nov. 21 episode on finale week, practicing relentlessly to compete against Laurie Hernandez and Val Chmerkovskiy, Calvin Johnson and Lindsay Arnold as well as James Hinchcliffe and Sharna Burgess for two important dances. It’s critical that they perform well, since anybody could be up for elimination!

Gleb and his season 23 partner Jana may only be days away from possibly taking home the Mirrorball Trophy, but he’s having to take it easy by rescheduling rehearsals over the weekend so he can rest. Luckily, it looks like he’s got all the support in the world. Jana took to Instagram with a sweet pic, showing him with a mask over his mouth. She captioned the heartwarming snap, “One of us has the flu…well maybe two of us. @glebsavchenkoofficial. Excuse me while I go vitamin C overdose.” If the dance duo doesn’t get the axe on Nov. 21, they’ll have only 24 hours to learn another routine in time for the season finale. The pressure is on!
It seems Gleb will have to make a “game-day decision” when the moment arises, but he can’t imagine not performing, according to the publication’s source. He had to be sidelined back in Nov. after he endured a painful knee injury, so we’re sure he’s feeling pretty motivated. Similarly, Jana also had to strut her stuff even after experiencing torn muscles in between her ribs, so we know she’ll be rooting him on. Looks like time will tell!
