Round two! President-Elect Donald Trump, 70, is still feeling riled up about how Mike Pence was “harassed” by the Hamilton cast members when he went to the Richard Rodgers theater to see the hit Broadway musical on Nov. 18. In case you didn’t hear, the vice-president-elect was booed extensively by the audience and was also subject to a heartfelt politically charged speech. Donald took to Twitter to voice his frustration over the ordeal yet again on Nov. 19. He even turned it up a notch by throwing some major shade, writing, “Very rude and insulting of Hamilton cast member to treat our great future V.P. Mike Pence to a theater lecture. Can’t even memorize lines.”
Only one day ago, the Hamilton cast sent a powerful message to Mike as the show came to a close, urging the Trump administration to respect their rights as a group of diverse ethnic people of various orientations. Brandon Victor Dixon, who plays Aaron Burr, began his impromptu monologue from the stage, asking that the future vice-president-elect help “work on behalf of all of us” in the White House. While Donald felt their remarks were unwarranted, Brandon did ask the audience to stop heckling! “There’s nothing here to boo, ladies and gentlemen,” he explained, “We’re all here sharing stories of love.” He’s got a very good point!
Donald obviously didn’t take very kindly to the comments made to Mike, writing another scathing tweet before his latest — which has since been deleted. “The Theater must always be a safe and special place. The cast of Hamilton was very rude last night to a very good man. Apologize!” However, stars like Chrissy Teigen, Zendaya and more have come forward to defend the cast. The model wrote, “Look who wants a f***ing safe space now. The very thing him and his supporters make fun of as liberal political correctness. God, what a POS.” Wowza!
