Nicole Kidman had one of the most awkward interviews ever on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,’ but luckily her hubby Keith Urban was there to save the day! HollywoodLife.com has the hilarious clip right here!
Nicole Kidman, 49, appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Nov. 17, for one of the most cringe-worthy interviews we’ve seen in a really long time! In addition to Nicole talking about her new acting gigs, the star also retold the story of the time Jimmy, 42, passed up an opportunity to go on a date with her!
Jimmy began the interview by thanking Nicole for coming back after their last meeting, in which Nicole revealed how the late-night show host turned her down. “I so didn’t want to come back,” she said smiling. The interview only seemed to go downhill from there. “We once went on a date together, and I had no idea that was true,” he said looking at her. After letting bygones be bygones, the two attempted to move on to talking about Nicole’s life, but amid her talking, Jimmy hilariously played the 1972 hit “DreamWeaver” as a way to signal a lingering attraction he had for the singer!
Best birthday EVER!!! Love u baby xxxxxxx — And to ALL the fans, friends and loved ones for gorgeous birthday wishes, prayers, videos, and songs (yep, people actually sang ME happy birthday…) I say THANK YOU and I love you all. I feel incredibly blessed. – KU

And just when it seemed like they could get past that hump, Nicole recalled another time that Jimmy passed up a chance to get her number! “It was when Brad [Pitt], 51, and Jen [Aniston], 47, were still together, so it was a long time ago… You could have asked for my number then, and you still didn’t ask for it,” she exclaimed! “We were lurking in the kitchen after everyone went out and I’m like waiting and waiting and waiting…” “This is so not true,” Jimmy replied! Okay, we didn’t know if we should laugh at this point or look away because this was SO awkward!
But just as we couldn’t bare to look anymore, Keith Urban, 49, luckily swooped in with his guitar and saved the day! Thank goodness! The singer proceeded to serenade Jimmy, before cuddling with his wife on the couch. “So, you have no problem ignoring my wife in the kitchen,” Keith jokingly said! SO funny! It got a little awkward for Jimmy, who turned bright red, but it was a great moment! We’ll be looking forward to a third interview in the future though!
