Taylor Swift, 26, is now the top-earning celebrity in the world. Because of her 1989 album and world tour, Taylor earned a stunning $170 million in 2016 to become Forbes’ Highest-Paid Celebs Under 30 from June 2015 to June 2016.
The singer was second to ex-boyfriend Harry Styles, 22, and the rest of One Direction on the 2015 list, but now they’ve switched spots! One Direction pulled in a total of $110 million in the last year. Soccer star Lionel Messi, 29, came in third with $81.5 million.
Taylor’s 1989 tour made $200 million in North America alone, breaking the Rolling Stones’ record. The tour went on to make a quarter of a billion dollars total. Taylor’s $170 million intake this year included lucrative endorsement deals with Apple, Diet Coke, and Keds. Taylor’s record-breaking year also makes her the youngest member of Forbes’ list of America’s Richest Female Entertainers with an estimated net worth of $250 million. Slay, Taylor, SLAY!
Adele, 28, and Rihanna, 28, round out the top 5 on the list after Taylor and One Direction. Justin Bieber, 22, is No. 6 after earning $56 million and the youngest person on the list. Taylor’s close friend and rumored collaborator Drake, 30, earned $38 million this year, putting him at No. 17 on the list. He turned 30 on Oct. 24, so he won’t be on the list next year!
