The hardest part of a divorce is always figuring out where kids will spend the holidays. Thanksgiving is the first one since Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt called it quits, and their kids are begging to spend it together, a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
It’s always toughest on the kids. Brad Pitt, 52, and Angelina Jolie, 41, are still going through their bitter divorce, but this is the first time their kids will have to confront the fact that holidays will never be the same for the family.
“Brad and the children are upset and saddened as they begin to plan for their first Thanksgiving apart from each other,” a source told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “Angelina & Brad have been discussing, via their assistants, how they are going to handle Thanksgiving with the children.”
It usually works out that the kids are forced to split their time, but Angie wants all day with them so Brad had to get creative. “It looks like the kids might be eating a lot of Turkey as Angelina insists they spend Thanksgiving day with her while Brad is asking that the children come over on another day, maybe Friday or Saturday to enjoy a traditional dinner with him and his side of the family,” the insider explained.
Even though that makes plenty of sense, kids have a tough time understanding why they can’t just all be together, and their 6 children are no different. “The kids are not handling the news well and are still begging their parents to get back together but Angelina has been letting them know, that’s not going to happen,” says the source. Aw, we hope they get through it stronger than ever!
