How is it possible to wrap up what happened this season on ‘American Horror Story?’ Well how about telling it through multiple different reality TV shows?
The finale opened on March 15, 2016 at a Q&A for My Roanoke Nightmare at the Paley Center, showing fans desperate for some one-on-one time with the cast of season one. Little did they know that season two would kill them all but Lee (Adina Porter). Speaking of, she went to trial where she was acquitted of all charges — we saw the special on her case detailed on a show called Crack’d (ie. Snapped). Her daughter actually said on the stand she saw her mother kill her father, but she also said she was friends with a ghost named Priscilla. The jury also found Lee’s confession on tape as an attempt of scaring off the Polk family. So, she was free.
Her first live TV interview was one only Lana Winters (Sarah Paulson) could do — I mean, she came out of retirement for that. During the interview, Lee revealed she chose to speak to Lana because she had been through so much, like killing her own son Bloody Face (yay, Asylum shout out!). Lana revealed to Lee during the live TV event, that just moments before they went on the air, Flora’s grandparents reported her missing. Lee naturally flipped out but didn’t have much time, because the last living Polk stormed in killing everyone in his line. Lee killed his family, and he was ready to kill her.
Skip ahead again, and we get a look at another special program: the cast of Spirit Chasers break into the house during the blood moon to get some new footage. Ashley Gilbert (Leslie Jordan), the actor who played Cricket in My Roanoke Nightmare also joined them. However, we found out that this took place two weeks after the Lana interview — Lee actually showed up searching for Flora, thinking she may have gone back to see Priscilla.
Well Cricket was the first to get killed by Piggy Man, which was the start of the madness all over again. Luckily, police did show up. But it wasn’t fast enough; the Chens, the nurses, and the butcher, were all there, killing everyone but Lee. She found Flora, and stayed inside the house while police demanded her to come out for hours. Inside, Flora flipped on her mom and said she wanted to stay with Priscilla, by being “like her,” and helping to take down The Butcher. Lee, desperate to keep her daughter alive, decided she would stay, died, and take care of Priscilla. With that, Flora left the house, and Lee had Priscilla kill her. Together, they could fight off The Butcher. With that, the house was on fire, and in came the real butcher.
