Ivanka Trump has spent months working on her father’s presidential campaign, but now that he’s been elected, will she be taking an official role at the White House once his term begins? She revealed the answer on ’60 Minutes’ — and it might shock you!
It turns out, Donald Trump’s administration team will NOT include his daughter, Ivanka Trump. “I’m going to be a daughter,” the 35-year-old said on 60 Minutes. “But I’ve said throughout this campaign that I am very passionate about certain issues. And that I want to fight for them — wage equality, child care, these are things that are very important for me. So, you know, there’re a lot of things that I feel deeply, strongly about, but not in a formal, administrative capacity.”
So, there ya have it — Ivanka won’t be taking on an official role in the White House, but she does hope to use her new platform to make a difference when it comes to the issues she’s passionate about. For the most part, though, she’ll be hanging back in New York City with her siblings to run Donald’s business.
Donald was joined by Ivanka, his wife, Melania Trump, and three other children, Eric Trump, Donald Trump Jr. and Tiffany Trump for his first sit-down interview as president-elect on Nov. 13, and during the Q&A, he dished on his policies and what he hopes to make a reality during his time as POTUS.
From his views on abortion to his insistence that he will build that infamous wall between the U.S. and Mexico, the 70-year-old touched upon just about everything the people have been wondering about. He will officially take office on Jan. 20.
HollywoodLifers, are you surprised Ivanka doesn’t plan to be on her dad’s administration? DO you think she’ll change her mind?
