Audiences love Kris Jenner as the happy-go-lucky matriarch of the Kardashian empire, but a source close to the family is revealing EXCLUSIVELY to Hollywoodlife.com that Kris has battled with emotional overeating and depression. Not only that, but she feels guilty she passed it on to Rob!
Rob Kardashian, 29, has suffered some dramatic lows over the years. In 2015 his relationship with sister Kim Kardashian, 36, was so strained that he posted a bloody photo of Rosamund Pike’s sociopathic, homicidal character in Gone Girl — and compared her to Kim. He later explained that he was in a dark place, but now, he has a beautiful fiancé, Blac Chyna, 28, and a bouncing baby girl, Dream Renee Kardashian. Mom Kris Jenner, 61, is optimistic that this will signal the end of his dark days — though she also feels guilty. Why?
“Kris has definitely bottled weight issues and depression in the past, and she feels guilty that Rob may have inherited some of these tendencies from her. That’s why she’s so hopeful things will turn around for him now that he’s a father,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “After Kris had Kourtney, her life changed dramatically. She was too busy to worry about herself or stress out about her weight. Everything just fell into place after she became a mom. That’s why she wanted another one, and another one, and finally stopped at 6!”
And since Thursday, it seems Kris’ plan may be working. Rob is overjoyed with his first born child and posted a side by side shot of Dream next to his father, the late Robert Kardashian, hours after she was born. “She’s an exact copy,” Rob captioned the pic of Dream and her grandpa. “Pops sent us an angel. It’s truly a blessing. He’s happier than anyone on this day. I’m so happy and thankful.”
HollywoodLifers, what do you think? Will parenthood make Rob happy and healthy, like it did with Kris?
