The Cleveland Cavaliers with an assist from First Lady Michelle Obama have just dropped the mic on all other mannequin challenges. You’ve got to see the video of the NBA champs at the White House posing perfectly with our beloved FLOTUS!
OMG, we have yet another reason why we are going to miss the Obamas SO MUCH as First Lady Michelle Obama, 52, played along with the World Champion Cleveland Cavaliers in the most epic mannequin challenge of them all! This one is going to be really impossible to top as they did it inside the White House during the team’s visit Nov. 10 and really, how can you top LeBron James, 31, and Michelle holding in one place while taking a selfie along with the rest of the team in crazy positions.
It’s incredible to see all of these tall, strong guys be able to gently hold their positions so steadily, with most choosing to check their phones or point at fellow players. Everyone nailed the challenge of remaining perfectly still, except for LeBron, who blinked right when the camera got to him posing with the First Lady! But hey, he’s the King so he gets a pass no matter what!
In such an incredibly meta moment, King James even posted an adorable selfie with Michelle to his Instagram shortly after they took this epic video, but they dropped their pose-hard look for a just tiny bit of more fun. You’ve gotta love how Channing Frye, 33, even managed to photobomb them!
We’re totally going to miss this kind of White House fun, especially now that some in the NBA are predicting that with Donald Trump, 70 as our next president, many players will decline the annual championship team visit. His divisive and polarizing rhetoric during the campaign didn’t sit well with many NBA players, who could easily opt out of the tradition as a boycott. But for now, we’ve still got the Obamas and we’ve got yet another epic moment from their eight years in Washington D.C.! Way to make it count Bronnie, Michelle and the Cavs!
HollywoodLifers, what did you think of the Cavaliers’ mannequin challenge? Is it your favorite one so far?
