How heartbreaking. Chelsea Handler cried Wednesday night, Nov. 9, on her talk show, as she explained how she had planned to move to Spain after Donald Trump won the election. She’s very upset about Hillary Clinton’s shocking loss, and so are we. Watch the video below.
“I want to move to Spain. I really, really want to move to Spain right now. Everyone in my office is like, ‘you have a responsibility, you have a voice and you need to use it and you have to be here’,” Chelsea Handler said on the Nov. 9 episode of her Netflix talk show, following Donald Trump‘s shocking win.
It’s no secret that Chelsea has always hated Donald, but we had no idea she felt this strongly about the election. And even though she cried, Chelsea vowed to keep her composure since Hillary Clinton was able to do so during her concession speech.
“Sorry, I hate f***ing crying on camera,” she added, before saying, “I know as a woman, it feels so sexist (that Trump won). I guess the message I went to get out is not to give up. Because this is so important. It’s easy to throw in the towel.”
And she wasn’t the only talk show host who got emotional over the results. Seth Meyers was also moved to tears during his opening monologue on Nov. 9. “I do really feel for the parents who had to explain this to their kids this morning. Especially parents with daughters because a lot of them like me probably thought Hillary would be our first woman president. But she won’t be. But that does mean – that does mean that someone’s daughter is out there right now who will one day have that title. Maybe you’re a woman who is currently a senator. Maybe you’re still in college,” he said.
