Taissa Farmiga, Jacob Artist, and a new butcher. Those are just three things that were thrown into the penultimate episode of American Horror Story: Roanoke.
First thing’s first: we met three huge fans of My Roanoke Nightmare, Todd (Jacob Artist), Sophie (Taissa Farmiga) and Milo (Jon Bass), who wanted to visit the real location, and film it. Right away, they found Diana (Shannon Lucio), the producer who was horrifyingly attacked by Pig Man in her backseat episodes ago. First, they saw her bloody body stumbling through the woods but when they tried to help, she disappeared — then they found her car, with her dead body inside. Naturally, they went to police who obviously didn’t buy it.
Dylan (Wes Bentley), who arrived at the end of last week’s episode, was told when to show up in the pig mask by Sydney. Yes, he was the one who played the butcher’s son in the show. However, he wasn’t just an actor, but a military vet so when he realized it was all real, he thought he’d help and take them back to the Polk farm to get the cameras.
Well, he couldn’t help; Audrey (Sarah Paulson) found Monet (Angela Bassett) and killed Papa Polk, but Lee (Adina Porter) went missing. She was found by the real Scathach, who fed her a pig heart. Yes, she became the new butcher, and killed Todd. Sophie and Milo found the control room, so they decided to call the police — who laughed it off again — and then head to the house to warn Audrey and Monet about Lee; they were too late. She killed Monet, stabbed Audrey, threw her in the pit, and the colonists with torches approached.
We got a footnote that the next video was recovered from Todd’s cloud — we saw both get placed on wooden stakes and lit on fire. The next morning, the camera angle was from the bodycam of police. The blood moon was over, and they found all the bodies — including an alive Lee, who who seemed to no longer be possessed. However, Audrey also alive, but when she saw Lee, she grabbed the policeman’s gun and pointed it at her. With that, the police shot her dead.
So yes, Lee was the last one standing. Next week is the AHS: Roanoke finale.
