A powerful statement. Kylie Jenner posted a black-and-white pic of a woman reading a newspaper that had the words ‘day the world ended’ on its front page, the day after Hillary Clinton’s shocking loss to Donald Trump. We have the photo, and all the details, here.
Kylie Jenner, 19, is just as surprised as we are that Donald Trump, 70, will be our next president of the United States. The LipKit maven shared a dramatic black-and-white image on Instagram that expressed how we’re all feeling, showing a woman reading a newspaper with the words “day the world ended” dramatically printed on the front page. She didn’t even include a caption or emoji alongside the pic, which made the post that much more emotional and powerful.
Kylie isn’t the only A-list star who’s just as upset as we all are about Donald’s stunning win against Hillary Clinton, 69. Parks & Recreation star Rashida Jones, 40, tweeted “#NeverMyPresident” in response to Donald’s upset, even admitting that she was in tears over the election results. Anna Kendrick, 31, took to Twitter, writing, “Woke up feeling like I’d had a nightmare. Then started crying again. Mantra: I am not alone, we are not alone.” Meanwhile, her fellow Pitch Perfect star Anna Camp, 34, tweeted, “What happened to us? What happened to supporting someone who represents our progressive goals and dreams? When did we get so lost?” We hear you.
While we’re still so upset over what happened, we’re happy to see our favorite stars expressing their sadness over what happened. But let’s remember Hillary’s amazing speech that she gave on Nov. 9, when she said, “To all the little girls who are watching this, never doubt that you are valuable and powerful and deserving of every chance and opportunity in the world to pursue and to achieve your own dreams.” Beyond powerful.
