While many celebs are happily revealing who they voted for on Election Day, Kanye West won’t be one of them. HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned the ‘Famous’ rapper doesn’t want his powerful influence to tip the election! Get all the details here.
“Kanye [West]‘s being called upon like the speaker of the house in a tie-breaking vote — literally. People from Hillary [Clinton] and [Donald] Trump‘s camps are hitting him up and desperately trying to get his last minute public endorsement and vote! Kanye hasn’t really put on a full court press on social media urging his fans to vote for one candidate or the other, but if he did and did it today, that could swing the election. Ye’s flattered that the political powerhouses recognize his influence and yes, he will vote for one of the candidates on the ballot. But more importantly, this election season has really fueled his desire and momentum to run for office in 2020,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
Hm. We can totally understand why Kanye would want to keep his vote private, as that’s his right, but it’s a bit presumptuous of him to believe he has enough influence to “tip the election,” right? It’s not like he’s Taylor Swift. (LOL!)
Either way, it’s smart of the candidates to call upon celebrities for their public endorsement. Hillary did so with Beyonce, Jay Z and Katy Perry earlier this weekend. And Trump… well, he doesn’t exactly have any super famous supporters. But we think you can catch our drift. Celebrities do have influence, and they can certainly sway votes. But “tip the election”? That’s up for debate — no pun intended.
