Once upon a time on The Late, Late Show with James Corden, actor Benedict Cumberbatch tucked in the show host and read him the scariest bedtime story of all: The 2016 Election. In a hilarious, slightly overdramatic skit, James portrayed the young son of Benedict begging for a bedtime story late at night. Benedict, portraying James’ father, pulled out a story called The 2016 Election and much to James’ delight, began reading!
The story told of a woman who wanted to be President (Hillary Clinton), who struggled with computers, emails and a large orange monster named Donald Trump. Too funny!
While reading to James, Benedict tries to explain why Hillary isn’t able to recover any of her emails, and why the big orange monster is so mean to women. It’s a hard task, but eventually Benedict gets to the end of the story: where the woman escapes the scary forest, moves ahead of the big orange monster, and makes her way to the White House. But does she get there? Unfortunately, we still have to wait and see about that one!
Oh, and one last thing: of course this skit could not end without someone mentioning the pussy grabbing comments. As Benedict goes to leave the room James asks if the big scary monster will try to grab his pussy in the middle of the night, then pulls a stuffed cat out from under his pillow. Hilarious!
