When Bruce Springsteen came out to rock at Hillary Clinton’s final rally at Independence Mall in Philadelphia on Nov. 7, we knew the performance was going to be epic. And his show totally did not disappoint! Get the scoop behind his amazing tribute to the amazing candidate right here.
Bruce Springsteen, 67, has been less involved in the 2016 election than in previous elections. And it is because he believe there was a “limited amount of impact” he would have, according to Rolling Stone. But he sure had an impact when he performed at Hillary Clinton‘s final rally in Philadelphia on Nov. 7. The show he gave was nothing short of spectacular and was just what Hillary needed to back her up on the eve of the election.
Bruce, a working class hero wearing his denim shirt and a green scarf wrapped around his neck, totally rocked out to his classic “Thunder Road” to support Hillary. We totally loved his slow, emotional ballad coming through in the most powerful way to reach voters. It was clear just how much Bruce hopes that his performance helps to bring undecided voters over to Hillary’s side before they casts their ballots on Nov. 8.
Meanwhile, in New York City, Madonna gave a surprise performance of “Like A Prayer” in support of Hillary in Washington Square Park. The spur-of-the-moment show drew a crowd smaller than the one rocking out to Bruce in Philly, but the message was no less important. It seems like everyone is doing their part to support Hillary!

“I haven’t really lost faith in what I consider to be the small amount of impact that somebody in rock music might be able to have,” Bruce told Rolling Stone. “I don’t think people go to musicians for their political points of view. I think your political point of view is circumstances and then how you were nurtured and brought up. But it’s worth giving a shot when it’s the only thing you have.” We’re so glad Bruce decided to join in Hillary’s campaign and give it his all to help propel her toward the finish line!
