It was a heartbreaking loss, losing 33-32 to the Atlanta Falcons. However, that was last week and now, the Green Bay Packers needs to pull themselves up and face the Indianapolis Colts in the middle of Lambeau Field on Nov. 6. This “showdown” might come down to a shootout between Andrew Luck, 27, and Aaron Rodgers, 32. Despite the loss to Atlanta, Aaron threw for 246 yards and four touchdowns. He even racked up 60 yards on six carries, according to Yahoo Sports, and he seems to have shaken off the slump from the start of the season.
“When you have so many moving pieces, it’s going to be a work in a progress,” Aaron said ahead of the game, per ESPN. “There are a lot of questions about what I needed to do differently and I am confident in my routine and not changing that week to week, and it has proven to work over the years. I have confidence in my abilities to do it every week, but it has been a work in progress with the injuries we have had.”
Those injuries include Eddie Lacy, 20, James Starks, 30, Randall Cobb, 26, and Ty Montgomery, 23. Randall and Ty might make their return for this game, and James practiced with the team. That may be even more bad news for the 3-4 Colts.
Indianapolis currently ranks 29th in defense (which includes a meager pass rush and an even more pathetic pass defense.) So this is going to be a very long game for the Colts, even if they get cornerback Vontae Davis, 28, to return and help out. Though, if the Packers are too overconfident, they could wind up with another heartbreakingly close loss.
