The Evil Queen threatens to destroy Storybrooke unless Snow and Charming surrender their hearts on the Nov. 6 episode of ‘Once Upon A Time.’ Will they be able to save everyone before it’s too late?
The Evil Queen comes to Snow in a dream/nightmare to threaten her. She’s going to destroy everything Snow holds dear if she doesn’t hand over her heart. The Evil Queen hands Snow a bottle and gives her just a few hours to figure out what it means.
In a flashback to the Enchanted Forest, Snow is on the run and Charming is still on his family’s farm. His mother believes it’s time to sell the farm. Meanwhile, Snow and The Blue Fairy are nearly killed by an ax-wielding hitman known as the Woodcutter. After that close call, Snow is ready to get the heck out of dodge. Charming sets out on his journey to sell his family’s farm and runs right into the Woodcutter, played by One Tree Hill alum Paul Johansson.
Regina helps the gang realize that the bottle isn’t full of a potion, it’s full of water from the River of Lost Souls. Regina figures out the Evil Queen’s working with Gold, and the Evil Queen will be able to destroy the whole town if Snow and Charming don’t give over their shared heart.
They call The Blue Fairy for help. She can’t counteract the Lost Souls water, but she does know of magic that can imprison the Evil Queen — a sapling. But they need to make sure the Evil Queen and Rumple don’t get to it first. Regina sends a note to Zelena in the Evil Queen’s handwriting to meet her at Rumple’s shop. Zelena walks right in to Rumple and the Evil Queen MAKING OUT! While Zelena is screaming at the Evil Queen, Rumple realizes Zelena’s been duped.
True Love Can Break Any Curse
Hook helps calm Emma down over what’s going on with her parents. He borrowed Henry’s book to tell her a story. I already can’t deal with their story time. Captain Swan forever. He makes her remember that — no matter what — Snow and Charming can get through anything. “True love can break any curse and so can you because that’s what you’re made of,” he lovingly says to her.
The Woodcutter poisons Charming, but he’s not down for long. When he wakes up, he finds Snow after she’s locked up by the Woodcutter. He kills the Woodcutter after a brutal fight. Snow and Charming never see each other’s face in this brief moment. She wants to protect him. If they team up, he’ll have a target on his back. She gives him money for his family’s farm. When they touch, the sapling starts to grow.
Back in Storybrooke, Snow, Charming and Regina find the sapling. When Snow and Charming touch it, it shows them their own true love. They’re on their way out when the Evil Queen grabs it and break it in half. Ugh.
Love Will Find A Way
Snow and Charming unite and walk up to the Evil Queen ready to give up their hearts. They’re serious about it. They ask Regina to break the protection spell over them. The Evil Queen takes their hearts, like she’s wanted to for so long, but it’s not enough. She wants them to feel the pain she’s felt. She gives them their hearts back, but puts a sleeping curse on Snow and makes her disappear.
Charming eventually finds Snow in the woods. He kisses her, and she wakes up. But he suddenly falls asleep. Regina figures out that they share the curse just like they share a heart. When one is awake, the other is asleep. The Evil Queen has finally found a way to keep them apart.
Belle goes to see Rumple and rips him a new one. Zelena told her about the shears, and Belle tells Rumple that he will NOT use them on their son. Just when Rumple thought Belle was warming up to him, this happens. Payback sucks, Rumple!
