This looks so intense! A new teaser for Lifetime’s highly-anticipated ‘Who Killed JonBenet?’ movie is here, and we just got serious chills after watching it. See the preview, and get all the details, here.
We can’t wait for this. Lifetime dropped a new teaser for its upcoming film Who Killed JonBenet, and we are freaking out. As you can see in the clip from Us Weekly, John Ramsey, played by Michael Gill, speaks to close friend Fleet White, who encourages him to speak to police to help clear his name after the tragic murder of his daughter JonBenet Ramsey. “Hiding behind lawyers, P.I.s and crisis management firms is not the answer, John,” Fleet tells him. “You look like O.J. in the Bronco.”
John then replies, referring to himself and then-wife Patsy, saying, “We’re not confident in how the police are handling this, and we’re going to put up a $50,000 reward for info.” But Fleet disagrees, replying, “What you do in the next 24 hours is going to define the rest of your life. You need to come back to Boulder and talk to the police. Patsy needs to talk to them. We do — we all do — to find out what happened to JonBenét.” Suddenly, the clip shows John creepily watching then 9-year-old son Burke from a window. Seriously, he looks SO conspicuous in this moment — even though the three family members have all been exonerated since the 1996 tragedy.
The Lifetime movie follows the four-hour docuseries, The Case of JonBenet Ramsey, in which investigators suggested that Burke killed his then 6-year-old sister. After the finale, he filed a lawsuit for defamation against investigator and forensic pathologist Dr. Werner Spitz for $150 million — Dr. Spitz had alleged that Burke “bludgeoned” her to death in an interview.
Who Killed JonBenet premieres on Lifetime on Nov. 5 at 8PM.
