Single at last! Phaedra Parks and Apollo Nida’s long and bitter divorce battle has finally come to an end. Keep reading for how the ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ star dished that their split has been finalized and whether or not her jailed ex should hold out hope for reconciliation.
Phaedra Parks, 43, was a woman of little words when it came to talking about her ex Apollo Nida, 37, on the Nov. 2 edition of TMZ‘s Raq Rants online segment, but she did drop the big news that their divorce has been finalized. This is the first time she’s come out and admitted it, although she’s been hinting that we’ll watch her divorce drama finally come to an end when Real Housewives of Atlanta returns for its upcoming season.
Apollo is currently serving an eight year prison sentence for money laundering and identity theft, and when Raq asked if she misses him since he’s been locked up, Phaedra gave a very blunt and succinct, “No.” Ooh, the coldness with the way she answered that question made us reach for the nearest warm coat. She is SO clearly over him and their marriage and just wants to move on as single woman.
The attorney and aspiring politician filed for divorce back in 2014 after five years of marriage and two beautiful sons Ayden, six, and Dylan, three. But the proceedings have gone on for so long because Apollo’s dramatic trial and subsequent imprisonment. Despite all the drama they’ve been through, Phaedra doesn’t have bitter feelings about the man she’s known since childhood. She admitted that they, “Talk all the time. We’re parents together so we talk frequently,” but as for if she would consider taking him back once he’s done with his jail stint, Apollo better not get his hopes up. “I never say never, but in this case I don’t think it’s a possibility. At the end of the day we’re friends. We’ll always have our kids together so we’re friends.”
