Beyonce and the Dixie Chicks are rumored to be performing together at the Country Music Association Awards tonight, Nov. 2, which would make for the most epic pop-country collaboration we’ve ever seen. Do you think they should perform Bey’s hit ‘Daddy Lessons’, which the Dixie Chicks covered in April 2016?
Rumor has it that Queen Bey will hit the CMAs stage tonight along with one of country music’s most famous bands — the Dixie Chicks! Beyonce’s performance at the Country Music Association Awards was announced just hours before the event’s start, and insiders are speculating that she’ll put on a special show with the Dixie Chicks. How amazing would that be?
The Dixie Chicks actually performed “Daddy Lessons” off Lemonade on April 30 in Manchester, UK. Check out the video above! After that performance, they added it to the setlist of their DCX MMXVI World Tour, and played it throughout Europe and North America.
Either way, we’re sure tonight will involve a medley of some sorts, as this is an awards show. We hope it includes “Daddy Lessons”, plus at least one of the Chicks’ own songs!
The Beyhive instantly freaked out and took to Twitter to share their reactions to the news that their favorite artist will be teaming up with the Dixie Chicks. “Lord. If Beyonce AND The Dixie Chicks perform Daddy Lessons together I’ll just float away,” one user tweeted. “Beyoncé performing on the CMA’s tonight with the Dixie Chicks,” another wrote, “If she do that Daddy lessons dance break with them it’s gone be LIT!!!” Agreed.
