Is there anything Brad Paisley can’t do? The country singer, 44, pulled out all the stops for a show-stopping performance of “Today” at the 2016 Country Music Awards on Nov. 2. Rocking a a black tee, matching bottoms and a cowboy hat, he looked so handsome while captivating the audience with his soulful sound at Bridgestone Arena. Brad definitely evoked feelings with his tear-jerking single, letting the crowd know how important each and every moment is. He started his performance on the piano, later stroking his guitar while showing off his stellar vocals!
Brad literally sparkled while performing his song, rocking “The Heart of the South Diamond” on his guitar strap, designed by jeweler Johnathon Arndt. It was inspired by the crooner’s “philanthropic heart towards humanity and their love for all,” according to a press release. So cool! He last treated his fans to new music on Oct. 6, dropping the emotional ballad “Today,” showing a whole new side of vulnerability. Needless to say, people have been going crazy over it ever since they saw his emotional video!
Brad also served as the co-host for the evening alongside Carrie Underwood in Nashville, Tennessee. He’s definitely a pro at this point, having taken the reigns nine times prior! Ahead of the event, he revealed how he prepared for his monumental duties. “We’re tasked with 50 years of retrospective and that’s a big task,” Brad said, according to ABC News. “It’s a balancing act, just know that we’ve had a lot of discussions about this and how you pay respects. So our attempt is to be so totally respectful of our format and of our history.”
