Put your mind at ease — Eleven will reportedly be back for season two of the Netflix phenomenon, ‘Stranger Things.’
After Matt and Ross Duffer called Millie Bobby Brown‘s return to Stranger Things “up in the air,” we all were worried that Eleven would not be back. However, sources have told our sister publication TVLine that she is set to appear in season two.
Following the finale of season one, it was completely unknown whether Millie would be returning, as Eleven seemingly disappeared after the demogorgon attacked in the finale. However, with Hopper leaving Eggo waffles for someone in the woods, we had a feeling she’d be back in some way, shape or form.
“We talked like a larger time jump where the kids are older now and it’s a different decade. That’s something we batted around from the very beginning. But for us, there’s still more story here [in the 1980s], there’s still things that are unresolved,” the brothers told Entertainment Weekly about where the story will go in the upcoming season[s]. “We don’t know about Eleven. We leave that up in the air.”
Joe Keery (Steve) and Noah Schnapp (Will) will be moved to series regulars, while Finn Wolfhard (Mike), Winona Ryder (Joyce), and Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin) are set to return. The show also added Sadie Sink, as Max, a tough and confident girl with a mysterious background, and Dacre Montgomery, as Max’s confident, edgy older step-brother, who is unpredictable and violent. (Yikes.)
When the Duffers released the episode titles for season two’s nine episodes, one was called “The Lost Brother,” so we have to wonder if another new character will be introduced. Season two will also “venture a little bit outside of Hawkins.” Matt told EW. “I will say the opening scene [of the premiere] does not take place in Hawkins.”
How do you think Eleven will be back in season two?
