Now that Negan’s brutal killing spree is over, ‘The Walking Dead’ is introducing us to The Kingdom where Morgan and Carol are holed up. Click inside to watch a preview!
It looks like the October 30 episode of The Walking Dead will provide some much needed relief after it’s terrifying season seven premiere in which both Glenn and Abraham were killed. In this preview from the episode, we get to meet up with Morgan (Lennie James) and Carol (Melissa McBride) as they explore a new place: The Kingdom.
The scene opens with Morgan pushing Carol in a wheelchair, which isn’t surprising considering how badly she was injured the last time we saw her in season seven. If it weren’t for The Kingdom, she might have died out there, which Morgan surely would have blamed himself for.
“What is this place?” Carol asks, obviously confused. Is it possible she was out for a few days and has just woken up? As Morgan pushes Carol through the little community we see multiple survival efforts, including walls to protect them, crops and plants to eat, and lots of horses and other animals.
Carol’s main concern? What did Morgan tell these people when they arrived, and do they now know about Alexandria? As always, Morgan plays it very calm, cool and collected as he explains that he only shared what they needed to know — and that now he wants Carol to meet their leader, King Ezekiel. You’ll notice how Morgan hesitates before saying the leader’s name, as if he knows how ridiculous it’s going to sound to Carol, but that doesn’t stop him from rolling her inside what appears to be an old auditorium.
