So exciting! The 2016 HALO Awards just announced their list of performers, and among them are Daya and Alessia Cara who spoke EXCLUSIVELY with HollywoodLife.com about the honor!
On Sunday, November 27, the 2016 HALO Awards will air on Nickelodeon to honor four incredible young people who are changing the world one day at a time. Nick Cannon will return to host, while a star-studded group of performers are set to take the stage: Alessia Cara, Daya, Hailee Steinfeld, Zedd, Jake Miller, JoJo Siwa and Jacob Whitesides!
Daya told us EXCLUSIVELY, “I’m so excited to be part of the HALO Awards this year! It’s such a cool event, and I’ll be performing ‘Sit Still, Look Pretty,’ which is a song that I feel perfectly embodies the mindset of the kids who will be recognized – the ones who set goals and strive to make a difference in this world. It’s gonna be a fun night!”
“The HALO Awards are about making some sort of impact and that’s something I’ve wanted to do in the music industry, and of course just the world in general, since forever,” Alessia told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY! “Especially with my song ‘Scars to Your Beautiful,’ so I’m happy to be performing it.” So cool!
The four young people being honored are Grace Callwood, 12, of Abingdon, Maryland, Jonas Corona, 13, of Long Beach, California, Lillian Pravda, 16, of New York, New York, and Chris Suggs, 16, of Kingston, North Carolina.
