Trickling down from the runway, the wet hair look has really had a moment in Hollywood. Both celebs with an edgier beauty style like Sofia Richie and those who gravitate towards classic beauty looks like Kendall Jenner have all tried out the high-fashion style. Ahead, get the details on how to copy the trending look.
It may get mixed reactions, but the wet hair look isn’t showing any signs of disappearing just yet. While celebrities like Kim Kardashian tried it out way back when it first started popping up on the runway, the It teens of Hollywood like Sofia Richie are getting into the wet hair finish now.
Not only does it have a high-fashion feel to it that’s made it popular on the red carpet, but it’s actually really good for your hair. Despite what you’re probably thinking, the wet hair look doesn’t involve water at all but is best achieved with the help of a hair mask that helps to nourish your locks while you pose for pictures.
The Kardashian/Jenner’s go-to stylist, Jen Atkin has created the look on the girls dozens of times, and we’ve got the how-to right here:
1) Prep the hair while it’s damp with a texture spray like Jen’s Ouai Wave Spray, and blow dry your hair out as smooth as possible using a round brush.
2) Next, use a flat iron to straighten the hair from the mid-lengths to the ends only.
3) For the wet look, apply a hair mask like the Christophe Robin Regenerating Mask through your hair and apply a hair oil on the ends.
4) To set the look, mist your hair with your favorite hairspray and then use the diffuser attachment on your blow dryer to really lock it into place.
HollywoodLifers, are you into this look or is there not a list of celebrities long enough to convince you to try this?
