Just when you thought you escaped ‘The Bachelor’s most villainous contestant, Chad Johnson bulldozes back into your life! And that’s definitely what Lace Morris thought when he crashed Ben and Lauren’s ‘Bachelor’ family camping trip. Who needs a campfire when Chad and Lace can turn up the heat with an insane tear-filled fight! Check out our recap!
Ben, 28, and Lauren, 26, just took episode 3 of Ever After to the woods! After some intense wedding plan grilling from a Bachelor producer, the pair decide they need to get out of the city of Denver. So, what better company to bring along on a camping trip than some of the most controversial, unique, and entertaining Bachelor and Bachelorette alum! Ben brought Chris Soules, and Lauren took everyone’s favorite twins, Haley and Emily Ferguson.
It almost felt like the the opening episode of MTV’s Jersey Shore, because you were waiting for more people to arrive to the camping trip, or party house. Next up — Lace Morris and Grant Kemp, who found love on Bachelor in Paradise, showed up. From the episode’s previews we already knew Chad would eventually come, so the drama was just bound to begin.

Who knew Ben was friends with Chad Johnson though? Well, the Chad-Mageddon scored an invite to the trip by Ben and Lauren, who saw good in him after JoJo Fletcher‘s After The Final Rose episode. This is actually insane.
Lace revealed that ever since BIP wrapped, Chad has been making she and Grant’s life hell. After a crying panic attack, Lace was not ready for hurricane Chad to stumble through their good time. She revealed to the group that after BIP, when she appeared with Chad on Bachelor Live, he caught her during a commercial break, and said, “You f**ked up now.” She claimed he wanted to bash her on the internet after she spoke about him on the show.
So, Chad finally stumbled into the camp site at the end of the episode (with his creepy whistle) and you can bet he served up some major drama. “I guess I should’ve toned it down a little,” Chad said of his actions in the past, but he was the furthest thing from apologetic or sincere.
Ben and Lauren attempted to play peacemaker around the campfire, while Lace cried and finally confronted Chad for everything he’s ever done to her and everyone else. “I meant to upset you; I meant to piss you all off, and it worked,” he said. “I don’t know why I did it.” The group continued to force an apology of sorts out of him and he said, “Yeah, I feel bad about some things I’ve done. If I really sat down and thought about my actions, which I don’t usually don’t, I’d probably feel pretty bad.” Did Chad just do what we thought he did?…
Not so fast. Then Grant brought up Chad’s mother, and asked if she would be happy to see her son doing bad things. In case you forgot, when Chad was in the running to win JoJo’s heart on The Bachelorette last season, he emotionally revealed that his mother passed away six months before he got on the show. So, you can sympathize why he started to get enraged when she was brought up.
Then, the unthinkable happened — Chad bowed out, and walked away. He just left the camp site and all was well again in the wilderness of the Bachelor family camping trip. So, until next time!
