If you want to vote in November, Californian HollywoodLifers, today, October 24, is your last chance to register to vote! Click through to learn how to register before it’s too late to cast your ballot, and vote for either Clinton or Trump!
Every vote counts in the general election on November 8! If you want Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump to be your 45th president, you have to vote. No complaining if they don’t win. This is the last chance to register to vote in California — today, October 24. Voting is one of the most significant privileges you get as an American citizen, and you’ll definitely regret it if you skip heading to the polls in November. Here are the easiest ways to get this important task done:
Blessedly, voter registration can be done online; no waiting in line at the DMV to get this done at the last minute! Simply head to registertovote.ca.gov and follow their instructions. To prepare for registration, you’re going to need three things: your California drivers license or California ID card, your date of birth, and the last four digits of your social security card. Easy peasy! If you or anyone you know need instructions in a different language, the forms are also available in Spanish, Filipino, Vietnamese and Chinese.
Don’t fret if you don’t have a driver’s license or ID; you can complete the form and an “online interview” by the 11:59pm deadline, and still be able to register to vote. Whew! You need to follow federal voter registration rules, of course. You must be 18 years old, and a United States citizen to vote. For more questions about eligibility, you can visit the California Secretary of State’s website.
It’s important to know that you also must go online to change your voter registration forms if you’ve moved recently or changed your name (i.e. gotten married and took on a different last name). That way, you’ll get a correct form!
