After Lionel Messi, 29, unloaded a hat trick on Man City, there really wasn’t much for the English side to do. So, now that they’ve returned from Camp Nou, Pep Guardiola, 45, will try to piece his team together to prevent any similar embarrassment.
The same goes for Claudio Bravo, 33, the Man City goalkeeper who pretty much murdered his own team. After Claudio used his hands while outside the box, he got slapped with a red card. This penalty sent him off and Man City was suddenly down a player.
“[A]fter the red card, it was over,” Pep said after the game, according to SB Nation. “Every game since Celtic has been the same – we have had own goals, missed penalties and we need to change the way things have been going.”
Well, they seem to have found success in the Premier League, as they currently lead with 19 points (just slightly ahead of Arsenal.) Southampton, at 12 points, is quite far from the top, but they’ve won three of their last four games. An upset would definitely launch them further up the ranks, while losing to The Saints would cause Man City’s lead to crumble.
Who do you think will win this game, HollywoodLifers? Are you cheering on City or do you think that Southampton will steal the victory out from the leaders of the Premier League?
