Poor Charlie Puth! The crooner officially cancelled his ‘Don’t Talk’ tour on Oct. 23, revealing that he can no longer perform due to sickness! Issuing a heartfelt apology via Twitter, he promised to do ‘everything’ in his power to make it up to his adoring fans. See his touching message here!
It officially a wrap for the Don’t Talk tour. Charlie Puth, 24, cancelled the remainder of his shows on Oct. 23, revealing to fans that he needed to take a break in order to focus on his health. “This is the last thing I want because I love being on the road performing and meeting every one of you,” he wrote in a emotional Twitter post. “I have been extremely sick pushing through these dates and haven’t been [taking] the time my body needs to recover. Resting and taking time off the road is the only way I can get better and start performing for you again.” Aww.
Even though the news breaks our hearts, we’re glad to know he’s got his priorities straight and is focusing on his well-being. He continued, “I promise I will do whatever I can to make it up to you. I love you so much. I’m deeply sorry.” So sweet. The sell-out tour supporting 2016’s Nine Track Mind, kicked off in Sept. and was scheduled to run until election day on Nov. 8, but Charlie decided to cut it short for obvious reasons. Fans have been worried about the crooner ever since he shared a snap of himself at the hospital weeks before, writing, “I am so sad to say that I have to cancel tonight’s show in Raleigh, NC.”
Charlie revealed that he had the flu and lost his voice on Oct. 7, noting how his doctor instructed him not to perform for at least 48 hours. We’re glad most of his fans have been very supportive, especially since he previously discussed the importance of self-care. When his good friend, Selena Gomez, was diagnosed with Lupus and cancelled the remainder of her Revival tour, he praised her for focusing on her health. We hope they both get better soon!
