So much for that political bromance. During the final debate, Hillary Clinton pointed out how Donald Trump’s admiration of Vladimir Putin made him Russia’s ‘puppet.’ Donald angrily denied he and Putin were ‘best friends’ and said Hillary was the puppet! Click to watch.
Things got downright childish during the Oct. 19 debate. After moderator Chris Wallace, 69, brought up how Wikileaks leaked some of Hillary’s, 68, emails during the Oct. 19 debate, she pointed out how Donald, 70, had actually encouraged Russia (and Vladimir Putin, 64) to hack America. After she basically called them BFFs, Donald denied they were buddies!
“I never met Putin. This is not my best friend,” he said. This angry response came after Hillary said that Putin would rather have Donald win the election because “he’d rather have a puppet as a president.” That got under Donald’s skin, as he pulled a kindergarten response, saying Hillary was the puppet!

This was the last time that Donald would get a chance to attack Hillary, face to face, before the Nov. 8 election. During the first debate, Donald blasted Hillary by accusing her of creating the “birther” craze that claimed President Barack Obama, 55, wasn’t born in the United States, according to the New York Times. Donald must have forgotten how he offered $5,000 for a copy of Barack’s birth certificate.
Hillary never tired of Donald’s constant attacks. She even mocked his attempts by saying, “[At] the end of this evening, I’m going to be blamed for everything that’s ever happened.” Donald’s reply? “Why not?”
Donald was even more aggressive during the second debate, going after Hillary over her private email scandal. Even though the FBI didn’t find any evidence that could warrant a criminal case, Donald threatened that, if elected, he would have his Attorney General “look into your situation” and “prosecute” Hillary. Yes, Donald threatened to throw his political rival in jail.
Will that happen? Going into this election, Hillary was leading in enough states that she could win 307 electoral votes, per CNN. That’s 37 more than she needs (a candidate has to hit 270 to win.) As for Trump, the ex-Celebrity Apprentice is lagging way behind. Going into this debate, Trump was projected to win 179, with 52 votes still in play. So, even if he got those up-for-grabs votes, Trump (at 231) would need at least 39 votes to squeak out a win. Wow. If he’s going to come through on any of his threats, he needs to work hard in the next few weeks. Maybe he can ask his ex-BFF Vlad for some advice?
What do you think about Donald dissing Vlad and calling Hillary a puppet during the third and final debate, HollywoodLifers?
