This season of ‘American Horror Story’ has kept us on our toes — and we’ve just hit the half way mark. However, in a new interview Ryan Murphy revealed a ton about that huge twist, returning characters, and even actors completely switching roles. Here’s everything we know about the episode six game changer.
It’s bigger than any twist we’ve seen so far.
If you’re an American Horror Story buff, you’ve seen your fair share of twists. Ryan says this time around, “it feels bigger.” The twist comes with episode six when the creators “drop a huge bomb,” Ryan told E!, leaving the audience “in disbelief at what the chyron on the screen is saying. And then that takes you into another world and the stakes are really, really, really high.”
The season was cut in half.
Episodes 6 through 10 will be a completely different story than 1 through 5, which we assumed by the sneak peek showing Cheyenne Jackson with a video camera. Ryan explained that this season has been about “redoing the narrative, which is about to switch up in seaosn six.”It’s a completely different show. It’s a completely different narrative form. Things that you thought to be true about people are revealed to not be true,” Ryan said. “The big twist of episode six takes you into a complete other world.”
More fan favorites will be back.
Taissa Farmiga, who we haven’t seen since Coven, will be back, but we know nothing about her role. Finn Wittrock, whose Freak Show character was referenced in last week’s episode, will also be back “playing his most f–ked up character of all time.” Additionally people who are already on the show like Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates and Evan Peters, will take on a completely different role that we already saw. And yes, there will be much more of Evan Peters, in a “very big, pivotal part” of episode six, and Ryan considered it to be the “greatest, most hilarious things” Evan has done. We also know his red hair is for the show so…
The huge episode will air Wednesday, Oct. 19 at 10PM on FX.
