Talk about timely. Next week’s ‘Law & Order: SVU’ will take on a story of a politician who faces accusations by several women, right in the middle of his campaign. Sound familiar? Watch the first trailer here.
Gary Cole takes on the role of the politician in “Unstoppable,” the upcoming episode of Law & Order: SVU, inspired by Donald Trump and the recent assault accusations made against him by three different women.
“I’m a handsome, charming millionaire; women throw themselves at me,” the candidate says in the sneak peek. “Know that I have nothing to hide.” Again, sound familiar?
This comes on the heels of the leaked video that was posted on Oct. 7 from 2005, where you can hear Donald Trump speaking with Billy Bush about trying to pick up Nancy O’Dell. He mocked her body, as well as saying he was “going after her like a b–ch.” He also explained that because of his celebrity status, he felt he could kiss any woman he wanted. He later defended himself calling it just “locker room talk.”
Nancy later went on Entertainment Tonight to explain her job was to bring the news about other, not herself.
“But by now, I’m sure that most of you have heard the audio tape which became national news and part of the presidential race,” she said. “My name was mentioned and, unfortunately, the release of it has thrown me into the middle of the political arena of which I didn’t ask to be a part. I released a statement on Saturday and I truly mean what I said. There is no room for objectification of women, or anybody for that matter, not even in the ‘locker room.”
Law & Order: SVU airs Wednesday at 9PM ET.
