Maroon 5’s new jam ‘Don’t Want To Know’ is like music to our ears — literally! The pop/rock group debuted their latest catchy single featuring Kendrick Lamar on Oct. 11, and it’s already getting stuck in our heads. Take a listen, here.
What happens when you put Maroon 5 and Kendrick Lamar, 29, in a recording studio? They make MAGIC! Their single, “Don’t Want To Know,” debuted on radio stations on Oct. 11, and has been blasting from every MP3 device known to man! You do want to know this song — it’s super catchy.
Kendrick’s verse is probably the best part, as he raps “No more ‘please stop’ / No more hashtag boo’d up screenshots / No more tryin’ make me jealous on your birthday / You know just how I made you better on your birthday, oh. Do he do you like this, do he woo you like this? / Do he lay it down for you, touch your poona like this? / Matter fact, never mind, we’ll let the past be / Maybe his right now, but your body’s still me, whoa.”
The boyband will debut their music video on NBC’s TODAY on Oct. 14, and will perform a live version of “Don’t Want To Know” on Ellen DeGeneres‘ talkshow.
“Don’t Want To Know” marks the first collaboration between Maroon 5 and Kendrick — a seven time Grammy Award-winning artist. Maroon 5 have an impressive collection of awards themselves, with two Grammys and four Teen Choice Awards under their belts. Frontman Adam Levine, 37, is leading the group as they go on tour. Maroon 5 are traveling across the U.S from Oct. 11 – Dec. 31, and hitting the road again in 2017 from Feb. 20 – Mar. 8.
Between juggling a band and being a first-time dad, Adam has certainly got his hands full! Adam and Behati Prinsloo welcomed daughter Dusty Rose on Sept. 21. As a father, the sexy crooner’s priorities have changed, but music will always be like a second child to him. “He always takes things very seriously, but he no longer sweats the small stuff,” a source told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “He wants to worry about more important things like being a great father and not dwell on any type of nonsense.”
