Pantsuit power! Dressed in a striking blue and white pantsuit, Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton looked confident and in control at the second presidential debate, held live from St. Louis, Missouri on October 9. Read more on her outfit, here.
During the town hall format, we heard from Republican candidate Donald Trump, 70, as well as Hillary Clinton, 68. The Democratic nominee stuck to her classic pantsuit look, and opted for a mild blue and white one this time around. Democrats typically wear blue, while Republicans represent in red. Hillary went against the norm during the first presidential debate, but this time, she stood proudly in navy blue! Her hair was styled in soft waves and her makeup was light and pretty, with a pop of red on her lips.
We’ll be interested to see the reaction of “who won” this second debate! After the first debate, most analysts agreed that Hillary won. Body language expert Patti Wood even told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY: “Hillary [Clinton] had more energy and more sustained energy throughout the whole debate. She also smiled and laughed more than I have ever seen her in a televised debate, which shows confidence.”
Patti continued: “The smiling also shows that she wasn’t affected by [Donald] Trump’s yelling and interruptions. He interrupted her 51 times! The fact that he interrupted her that many times and that she remained calm, shows she was grounded and strong. No matter what you think of her as a candidate, it was admirable. It’s not how most people would respond in that situation.”
In the first presidential debate, Hillary wore a stunning, bold red power suit by Ralph Lauren. The choice to wear an American designer was well thought out, you can be sure. In the past, red has almost always been associated with a Republic candidate, while the Democratic candidate would likely wear blue. At the first debate, those rules were thrown out the window, with Hillary in red and Donald wearing a blue tie.
