The consensus is in: everyone wants justice for Barb! That was made clear at the New York Comic Con panel where a mob of fans dressed as the characters paraded around the panel — including those holding ‘Justice For Barb’ signs. Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbor had to agree: she deserves some closure!
First thing’s first, a fan at the New York Comic Con panel on Oct. 7 had to ask about the love triangle that wrapped up in the end — Nancy (Natalie Dyer) and Steve (Joe Keery) lived happily ever after (for season one), and Steve bought Jonathan (Charlie Heaton) a new camera. However, “anything can happen,” according to Millie although she assured she was “okay with Stancy.”
David admitted that they have read the first “insane” few scripts — although it’s not yet confirmed Millie’s Eleven will be back — and the love triangle will be back. “Even when I was watching I felt torn. They both were so three dimensional. There will be more of that for seasons to come,” he said.
One thing that won’t be back for anymore seasons is Barb, who died a far too early death and upset many people in the internet world.
“Imagine if Barb came back and Jonathan and Barb were dating. That would be incredible,” Millie said laughing during the panel, with David reminding the audience that no, she’s really dead. “We do deal with loose ends in season two, and we deal with some of the internet rage over Barb’s death,” he said. “We will have justice for Barb in some sense, but those of you wishing Barb magically comes back to life on the show, I can assure you Barb is very much dead.”
