As ‘School Of Rock’ kicks off it’s second season, we spoke EXCLUSIVELY with Lance Lim about what’s to come in the new episodes. Not only do they have some really special celebs stopping by, but there’s so much more to expect from the show!
HL: What can we expect from ‘School of Rock’s second season?
LL: Well, you can expect a lot more stunts. We’ve got a lot of music for you as well, especially originals and some cool new guest stars such as Brec Bassinger from Bella and The Bulldogs, Kendall Schmidt from Big Time Rush and Daya!
HL: How will the show carry on the movie’s legacy as it continues after the battle of the bands?
LL: Well, although we are carrying on the legacy of the movie, we are also incorporating our own flavor to it. In season 2 you will see a lot of new things and our characters will have more depth.
HL: What’s one thing you really want to see Zack do in season 2?
LL: I would really like to see him kind of do something out of the ordinary, like be the bad boy for an episode or something like that!
HL: Is there any chance the cast could ever join the Broadway production?
LL: I don’t think as of right now we have any plans to but that would be so amazing to collaborate with the Broadway side as well since they’re so amazing! A couple of our cast members were fortunate enough to go see them on Broadway and meet them!
HL: What has been your favorite performance on ‘School of Rock’?
LL: I think still to this day, the performance we did on our season finale was our greatest. When we performed “Shut Up And Dance.” It’s just because of the whole vibe of the day, and we were just kind of all in sync, it was awesome!
HL: If you could have any musician/artist come on the show to perform with you, who would it be?
LL: John Mayer. He is my favorite musician right now. I love him so much and it would just be awesome to see him shred the guitar with us.
HL: Have you written any original music for the show? If not is that something you would like to do in the future?
LL: I haven’t actually and I would really love to write music for our show!
HL: Would you ever want to record music outside of the show? Get a record deal?
LL: I would love to do that as well sometime in the future. Music is definitely one of my passions besides acting!
HL: Any plans to take the ‘School of Rock’ cast on tour?
LL: Not as of right now but I think that would be so dope for us to tour like Big Time Rush or something!
