Come on, you cynics and haters. Stop piling on to Kim Kardashian and accusing her of faking her own robbery at gun point. We’ve interviewed Kim for Hollywoodlife.com several times and she’s a lovely, down-to-earth woman. She deserves sympathy, not scorn.
Kim Kardashian was woken from her sleep at 2 in the morning on Oct. 3 and dragged from her bed by five masked robbers who held a gun to her head. She was tied up and gagged after begging for her life, telling the gunmen that she was a mother with two babies at home. She was robbed of $11 million in jewelry.
Now, do you honestly think that Kim made up this whole horrifying story? Sadly, there are a lot of haters on social media who seem to think so. And boy, they have no sympathy, like Twitter user @whitey1025 who tweeted, “@KimKardashian is doing this for publicity. $11m worth of jewelry is an insane amount just laying around. Sounds like @RyanLochte story,” or Bea Samuel, who tweeted, “Kim Kardashian probably set up this gun point story. These people will do anything for ratings and money.”
Yes, we know that Kim is the queen of publicity, but I can assure you that this was no stunt. Kim would never dream of doing anything like this. It’s devastating to her that people could even think that for an instant. “It’s crazy to her that people, even for a second, think she is fabricating this story,” an insider told E! News. “She feels like no one understands her and what she’s been through.”
That’s true. No one who hasn’t been in this terrifying, life-threatening situation can understand what she’s been through. That’s why it’s not cool to be mean, like Tyson Beckford who posted an Instagram showing a masked man with the headline, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, above it. Neither is it cool to insist that she ‘set up’ a fake robbery as an insurance scam to reclaim $11 million for her ‘stolen’ jewelry, like so many have tweeted, such as @2Teresa, who wrote, “How awful Kim Kardashian getting caught up in an insurance scam, sorry I meant robbery.”
It’s not even funny that some conspiracy theorists think that Taylor Swift or Donald Trump are behind Kim’s agonizing ordeal, as some have suggested.

Haven't quite talked myself out of the possibility that #Trump sent people to Paris to rob Kim Kardashian in order to distract Americans….

My working theory is the Russians held up Kim Kardashian to distract us all from Trump's disastrous week.

In fact, Kim is so freaked out after fearing for her life that she’s been having crying jags and is terrified that her babies, North, 3, and Saint, 10 months, will now be kidnapping targets. Wouldn’t you feel the same way if you were in Kim’s position? It would be near impossible to ever feel safe again.
Kim could quite possibly be suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) after the vicious robbery. PTSD is “brought on by witnessing a terrifying, usually life-threatening event,” according to PsychGuides.com. Yes, that’s what Kim went through. And, it’s likely that she’s suffering from one or more of the symptoms: “severe anxiety, flashbacks, uncontrollable thoughts and nightmares.”
“Kim may be in shock and feeling quite upset,” psychologist and family therapist, Dr. Jennifer Rhodes told Hollywoodlife.com. “Having your life threatened, especially when you’re a mother, is incredibly scary.” Dr. Rhodes suggests that Kim see a therapist if she needs more support, and that sounds like a very smart idea.
In the meantime, I sure hope she stays off social media, and not because she’s given up showing off her million dollar jewels – which reportedly has vowed to do. The last thing Kim needs is to read more mean tweets from people slamming her for supposedly concocting an armed robbery as a publicity stunt.
You haters out there need to stop and try and find your “sympathy” gene. Do you agree, Hollywoodlifers? Do Kim’s haters need to stop hating? Let me know.
