Is Taylor Swift dropping new music this month?! If you’re as obsessed with T.Swizzle as we are, this new theory is going to be music to your ears. There’s actually a considerable amount of evidence that this might be the real deal, and here’s the proof!
Has the Washington Post outsmarted Taylor Swift?! They did some hardcore investigative journalism to have possibly figured out when Swifties can expect Taylor’s long-awaited sixth album, and it’s way sooner than you might expect!
The news outlet (and tons of fans) believe Oct. 23 may be the perfect date for Taylor to drop an album. It’s just one day before the 10-year anniversary of her first album, it’s a Sunday (the perfect time to drop a surprise album because it will dominate the news at the beginning of the week), it’s about two years after 1989 which follows her regular release schedule, and the numbers in the date make up Taylor’s fave number: 1+0+2+3+1+6=THIRTEEN! Nov. 13, 2016 could also fit under these parameters, so that’s a solid backup guess.
And that’s not all. On Sept. 7, a source told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that Taylor was nearly done with a new album, and she planned to drop it Beyonce-style (a total surprise) sometime in the fall. October is the perfect time because she won’t have to compete with Beyonce’s Lemonade and Adele’s 25 at the Grammys, since the cutoff was Sept. 30.
A surprise release would be perfect for Taylor because she just revealed a HUGE Super Bowl pre-game performance as part of a partnership with AT&T, so we know fans will expect new music. Not to mention dropping the album with no warning helps her avoid pre-release promotion, and we’re sure she would love to avoid those Calvin Harris and Tom Hiddleston questions. Of course, we can’t know for sure, but this theory seems pretty airtight!
