How rude! A nasty Toronto Blue Jays fan threw a beer can at Baltimore Orioles outfielder Hyun Soo Kim during an Oct. 5 wild card game. The full beer can barely missed Hyun’s face! Click to WATCH the crazy moment.
This is just insane! In the seventh inning of the Oct. 5, game, a Blue Jays fan chucked a beer can right at Hyun, 28. Thankfully, Hyun was following the ball Melvin Upton Jr., 32, hit out in left field and dodged the beer can successfully.
After Hyun made the catch, he looked over to his left and saw the beer can on the field. If the beer can had hit Hyun’s head, it could have caused some serious damage.
“Something like that should never happen. It’s the first time for me and hopefully the last,” Kim said through an interpreter via ABC News.
“That’s about as pathetic as it gets,’’ Orioles center fielder Adam Jones, 31, said after the game, according to USA Today. “You don’t do that. I don’t care how passionate you are. Yell. Cuss. Scream. Say we suck. We’re horrible. We get it. We’re the opponent. We completely understand that. I hope they find the guy and presses charges. He’s not looking. You could hit him in the back of the head and you knave know what could happen. That’s a full beer that’s being thrown. Throw an octopus. Throw hats.’’
Blue Jays spokesman Erik Grosman revealed that the rude fan was not ejected from the game because he took off before police got a hold of him, according to ABC News. The investigation is still ongoing. The Blue Jays went on to win the game 5-2.
