Toni Braxton’s Lupus landed her in the hospital on Oct. 3 as she was in ‘serious’ condition after the disease acted up. But less than 24 hours after her health scare, she’s already back at home and HollywoodLife.com has the scoop on how she’s doing!
“Toni is resting at home and she is fine. She was in an LA hospital for a few days being treated for her Lupus,” Toni‘s publicist Maureen O’Connor revealed to HollywoodLife.com. “She has been released and starts rehearsals for her upcoming tour this week. She was not in serious condition, though Lupus is a serious disease and must be monitored at all times.”
Phew! Initially when news broke that Toni, 48, had been hospitalized, reports said that she was in serious condition due to her Lupus battle, and her rapper boyfriend Birdman even had to hop on a plane to be by her side. But fortunately it sounds like things might not have been as bad as they seemed, thank goodness!
This news surely comes as a huge relief to Toni’s fans, especially because she is just about to start a North American tour in a few days. Over the summer Toni announced that she’d be hitting the road for an 18-date trek, kicking off on Oct. 8 in Oakland, Calif., through Nov. 12 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Whether the tour will be delayed because of Toni’s hospitalization is unclear, but because she’s currently in LA and is apparently in good shape health wise, it seems the tour will still kick off in a few days.
Toni hadn’t been hospitalized for her Lupus since December 2012, so surely her people will be keeping close watch on the singer as she carries on with her tour. We certainly hope she doesn’t have any other health scares!
