Someone call Tim Kaine and tell him not to bother showing up to the vice presidential debate on Oct. 4, because apparently Mike Pence has already won! At least, according to the RNC website that accidentally posted an article giving the play-by-play about how the GOP candidate took down the Dem, hours before it even happened! Here’s the scoop.
Welp, this is awkward. The Republican National Committee’s official website clearly had a lot of faith in Donald Trump’s running mate Mike Pence ahead of his debate against Hillary Clinton’s partner Tim Kaine on Oct. 4, because they declared him the “clear winner” two hours before the pair even went head-to-head!

Of course, they probably just wanted to be prepared to get the post up quickly after the debate was over, but perhaps they should have waited to see what Mike had to say first. What if he totally bombed?! The post was taken down moments after publishing, but of course some quick-witted Twitter users screenshotted the page before they managed to hide it away, and it’s actually pretty detailed for an article about SOMETHING THAT HASN’T EVEN HAPPENED YET!
“During the debate we helped fact check and monitor the conversation in real time @GOP. The consensus was clear after the dust settled, Mike Pence was the clear winner of the debate,” read the article. Damn guys, the dust hasn’t even been kicked up yet! They went on to credit the economy and “highlighting Hillary’s scandals” as the vice presidential nominees key moments, so we can only assume those are two things he plans to bring up tonight in the big showdown. They also called Donald Trump “the other clear winner from tonight’s debate.” Yikes!
