It’s so hard to imagine how Kim Kardashian, 35, is feeling after she was terrifyingly held up at gunpoint and robbed in Paris. Her husband Kanye West, 39, and the rest of her family dropped everything they were doing to console her — and HollywoodLife.com has learned EXCLUSIVELY that this was SO important. “Kanye’s behavior demonstrated his complete commitment to his wife and family to put his relationships first,” psychologist and family therapist Dr. Jennifer Rhodes tells us. “Her friends and family can support her by being emotionally available and can ask her what she needs and wants — and respect her decisions.”
We are so happy to know that Kanye’s decision to stop his concert mid-performance and be there for Kim was the right thing to do. She really needed him too. After her scary ordeal, Kim and momager Kris Jenner, 60, hopped on a private jet from Paris, France, to fly directly to New York City to meet Kanye. The couple is currently staying in a rented AirBNB in the city.
As for how much time Kim will need to heal? Dr. Rhodes tells us that what’s really important is that Kanye, Kris and the rest of Kim’s family give her all the time in the world. “Taking Kim’s lead on how much time she needs to recover is recommended for all of her family and friends,” she emphasizes. “They should be available to speak as needed, but they should also make sure to respect her privacy.” Dr. Rhodes also adds that Kim’s two kids, North West, 3, and Saint West, 9 months, should be cared for as Kim focuses on her own healing. “Her family should find ways to keep her children happy and busy while she recovers,” she tells us.
