Baylee Curran had her five minutes of fame when she accused Chris Brown of pulling a gun on her last month, but if she was hoping he’d actually get in real trouble for the allegations, she might be out of luck. Find out why Chris’ case will likely not go to trial here!
Chris Brown, 28, has been in his fair share of trouble over the years, but in this case, it looks like he’ll avoid any further punishment or jail time. The singer was supposed to be arraigned on Sept. 20 for allegedly pointing a gun at Baylee Curran during a party in August, but the court date was extended to give police more time to gather evidence against him. However, the D.A. is reportedly still unsatisfied with what the prosecution has come up with, according to TMZ.
The site reports that the case is basically closed at this point because the evidence against Chris is so weak. There were two guns found inside a duffel bag that the 28-year-old allegedly threw out the window, but there’s no way for officials to confirm that they were connected to Chris in any way.
Basically, the only evidence police have is Baylee’s story, which isn’t much for them to go off of in court — especially after learning about her shocking past, which involved her being stripped of her Miss California Regional crown. Obviously, Chris has completely denied the claims Baylee made against him, although the whole situation has led to even more drama for the singer with his baby mama, Nia Guzman. For now, Chris is only allowed supervised visits with the pair’s daughter, Royalty, which he’s made clear on Instagram that he’s not happy about.
HollywoodLifers, do you think Chris did what Baylee said? Or do you think it’s okay that he’s avoiding a trial?
