The Evil Queen returns on the Oct. 2 episode of ‘Once Upon A Time,’ and she’s ready to cause trouble. Plus, Belle seeks out Hook for help and Emma finally reveals her terrible vision to someone! Read our recap of the episode now!
The Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla) is back in all her glory, and we are all the better for it. She makes Zelena (Rebecca Mader) take her to Regina’s vault. The Evil Queen wants to teach Regina a lesson and let her know that she can never truly walk away from who she really is. Back in Storybrooke, the refugees from the Land of Untold Stories are taking over. Regina tells them all that they don’t need to be afraid any longer.
Belle (Emilie de Ravin) shows up to Granny’s needing a place to stay away from Rumple (Robert Carlyle). Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) offers to help her out with a new place. Aw! I love when Hook and Belle have scenes together. Emma (Jennifer Morrison) tells Hook she’s unable to tag along because she’s going to have a therapy session with Archie (Raphael Sbarge). Hook looks a little disappointed that she’s going to talk to Archie about what’s bothering her and not him. Come on, Emma! Tell Hook everything already!
A man walks into Granny’s and leaves a note on the table for Henry (Jared S. Gilmore). Turns out, he’s the Count of Monte Cristo (Craig Horner)! We learn his backstory, and how the Evil Queen came into the picture. After he kills the baron in front of everyone for revenge, the Evil Queen makes her move. She wants to make a deal that involves her favorite thing — REVENGE.
The Evil Queen wants to poison Snow (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Charming (Josh Dallas) using the Count to do it. Snow and Charming have been nothing but kind to him, so the Count asks what they could have done to deserve death. As usual, Rumple shows up to cause some trouble. He put an enchantment spell on Snow and Charming so the Evil Queen couldn’t hurt them. Well, the Evil Queen did the same to the Count so Rumple couldn’t hurt him.
Later, the Count pours the poison into the pitcher of wine. Everything’s going according to plan when Charlotte shows up unexpectedly. He actually pours her a glass of the poisoned wine, but he’s breaking out in a sweat. He almost lets them all drink the poison. He stops them at the last second and takes Charlotte’s glass away.
Charming, Snow and Henry try to figure out who this mysterious man is, but Regina comes in clutch with all the info. She admits she hired him for a revenge plot back when she was the Evil Queen and vows to take care of him.
Emma spills her guts out to Archie about the visions she’s been having. Yes, she tells him about her impending death. “The more you talk about it, the less it will haunt you,” Archie says to Emma. He wonders why she hasn’t told her family.
Hook brings Belle to the Jolly Roger to stay. She asks why he’s risking her life for her. Hook’s really channeling his hero vibes. He tried to kill Belle once, now he’s trying to make up for it. Bless him.
The Evil Queen makes a pit stop at Rumple’s shop and MAKES A PASS at him. Ew. I’m all for these two working together, but I am NOT a fan of them as a couple.
Who’s Under The Hood?
Regina and Henry find Charlotte dead in the woods. The Evil Queen shows up, shocking Regina to her core. Regina’s magic has hit a snag. Charlotte’s cloak was laced with a magic dampening spell, so when Regina touched it, she was effed.
Meanwhile, the Count attacks Snow and Charming on the docks. You can tell he doesn’t want to, but since the Evil Queen has his heart, he doesn’t have a choice. He’s about to kill Snow and Charming when Regina comes in hot with a sword. They get into an epic sword fight and Regina ends up KILLING THE COUNT!
The Evil Queen watches this all go down. Regina runs up to the Evil Queen and threatens to rip her heart out. The Evil Queen is getting under Regina’s skin and she knows it. “No matter what you do, the darkness will always be inside you,” the Evil Queen warns. She tells them all she’s just going to watch all the heroes tear themselves apart.
Emma goes back to Archie and tells him who she thinks might be under the hood. There’s only one person who is not in her vision, and that’s Regina. Emma thinks Regina might be the one to kill her! Cue the shocked emoji!!!
