Angelina Jolie has reportedly been doing all she can to keep her kids from Brad Pitt since filing for divorce, but she may be taking it one step further by moving them to England. Find out more about Angie’s plan to move her family overseas right here.
In the time that Angelina‘s marriage to Brad, 52, was apparently crumbling, the 41-year-old actress was simultaneously working to ramp up her involvement in the political world. As a special envoy for refugees for the United Nations, Angelina had always hoped to develop a “full-time role” in the U.K., a source revealed to Us Weekly — and the divorce may just be what she needed in order to make her hopes a reality, along with moving the kids away from Brad.
While doing her humanitarian work, Angelina met Arminka Helic and Chloe Dalton, former advisers to onetime U.K. Foreign Secretary William Hague. They’ve been helping Angelina gradually achieve the goal of moving her life overseas, and Arminka even helped Angelina land a 2017 professorship at the London School of Economics, according to the mag. Now that Angie is splitting from Brad and hoping to have full custody of their six children Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne, and Knox, her kids have become part of the England conversation with Arminka and Chloe too.
“Angelina trusts Arminka implicitly and values her opinion more than anyone else’s right now,” another source close to Angelina told Us. “Angie has been taking recommendations over the months when it comes to who works on the security team and the children’s education.”
The women have also suggested that Angelina brings her brother James Haven with her to the U.K. to help take care of the kids, as well as develop a “more active role” in his nieces’ and nephews’ lives. If they’re not going to have a father figure around anymore, that might not be a bad idea.
Reports have said that one of the main reasons Angelina filed for divorce from Brad was because of the way he parented their kids, with some claiming that physical and verbal abuse may have been involved. Angelina is still willing to give Brad visitation rights, but for now she’s doing everything in her power to keep the kids away from their dad. Moving to England would certainly be an effective way to do that, huh?
