YES! Robin Hood is coming back to ‘Once Upon A Time!’ Sean Maguire is set to return as the fan favorite character in season 6. But wait, Robin Hood is six feet under! So is Robin being brought back from the dead? Here’s what we know.
Even though Robin Hood was killed at the end of season 5, he’s coming back to Once Upon A Time. Granted, anything can happen on a show like Once Upon A Time, and plenty of characters have come back from the dead before.
“We’re thrilled to have Sean back for this story arc and are excited for the audience to see what we have planned, which in the wake of his character’s heartbreaking demise, is something we hope is unexpected and surprising,” executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis told Entertainment Weekly.
Sean will appear in multiple episodes in season 6, but don’t get your hopes up too much. Robin Hood is not coming back from the dead. When the producers were asked by Entertainment Tonight if there was hope that Robin would return, Edward said, “I’d say dead is dead.”
In season 5, Hades set out to kill Regina with the Olympian crystal, but Robin sacrificed himself to save Regina. Hades said that there was no coming back after a person was killed by the Olympian crystal, but there’s always a loophole on Once. When the show returned on Sept. 25 for season 6, Regina was still very much grieving the loss of Robin. She admitted to Zelena that she blamed her for Robin’s death.
Who else is just glad we’re probably going to get more Outlaw Queen? Regina deserves to have love in her life! Once Upon A Time airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
