This is just heartbreaking. Jon Voight revealed his thoughts on his daughter, Angelina Jolie’s divorce to Brad Pitt, and his ‘concern’ is with the children involved. In a new interview he admitted where his love lies amidst the messy divorce. Watch his emotional confession here.
Jon Voight, 77, was asked his thoughts on his daughter, Angelina Jolie, 42, filing for divorce from Brad Pitt, 52 in a recent interview. “Look, I am not going to speak on that, he said to FOX News Channel’s Your World With Neil Cavuto. However he did admit, “I certainly am concerned about the children and my love is with my daughter and I hope things work out well.” So sad.
Her father’s most recent comments come on the heels of other reports that claim he is “concerned” for her. However, the most recent report is that she is “doing fine.” The Ray Donovan actor just had an interview with Inside Edition on Sept. 20, where he went on about his daughter’s unsettling divorce news. “It’s very sad,” he said. “Something very serious must have happened for Angie to make a decision like this. I don’t know what it is. Say a little prayer.” Both Angie, Brad and their six children are in the midst of a very public family situation. As Angie and the kids have been laid up in a rented Malibu estate, away from Brad, her father opened up to IE. “I am concerned for Angie and the children and hopefully I will be seeing them very soon,” he said.
Jon and Angie have had a very tumultuous past. They weren’t always the picture perfect, father-daughter duo that you’d imagine. Although they are both seasoned on-screen stars, Angie cut ties from her father around 2002 after he publicly spoke out about her alleged “mental problems.” But, the two reconciled in 2010. Jon hasn’t said a bad word since, which is why he is most likely keeping it brief.
Angelina and Brad’s insane divorce has been a whirlwind as she demanded full physical custody of their children when she filed “irreconcilable differences” on Sept. 19. Her attorney said her decision was for the “health of her family,” and Brad was reportedly accused of child abuse. He allegedly put his hands on his son, Maddox Jolie-Pitt, 15, during an incident on a plane. As everything has been heating up, he has hired high profile legal representation for himself, and reportedly plans to fight for joint custody of the six children. As HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY told you, Brad could get 50/50 custody. Los Angeles Divorce Attorney David T. Pisarra of Men’s Family Law told explained, “Given his huge resources this should not be a real problem, the only question is whether the judge will order it as being in the children’s best interests.” We will just have to wait and see what happens, but hopefully they can do what they believe is best for their children.
