The custody battle between Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt is sure to be intense. After all, Angie wants FULL physical custody of all 6 of their kids! But HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned that there is one major thing Brad can do to help ensure he doesn’t lose his kids — and that’s NOT moving out of their shared home! Find out why below.
Despite Brad Pitt, 52, and Angelina Jolie‘s, 41 shocking divorce, it’s beyond obvious that the parents-of-six still love their children and want what they believe is best for them. And although Angie is demanding full physical custody of their children, as HollywoodLife.com previously reported, Brad will NOT go down without a fight.
And lucky for him, according to divorce attorney Raoul Felder, there’s a few things Brad can do in order to ensure he doesn’t lose his kids for good. One of which being, staying put and not moving out of the home he shares with his soon-to-be ex-wife and their family. After all, he’s not legally required to leave!
“Brad gets to stay in the home with the children while the physical custody battle is settled unless there is a court order putting him out,” Raoul EXCLUSIVELY told HollywoodLife.com. “A man’s home is his castle and you can’t really put a man out of the house unless there is violence.” However, Brad could always move out on his own accord.
“Brad is not required to move, and it may be tough to get him to move and to prove that he was violent,” Raoul continued. “Angelina can’t change the locks on Brad and try to kick him out because the house is probably owned by both of them.” But if he DOES move out? He and Angie will have to work out a temporary visitation schedule.
If Brad wants to play it smart though, according to Raoul, he should not move out at all. “For strategic reasons, Brad might not move out of the house,” he explained. “If he really wants custody, he shouldn’t move out because it surrenders a position that he hopes isn’t permanent. So why surrender?”
Staying in the house does make a lot of sense for Brad, and let’s not forget that when Ben Affleck, 44, and Jennifer Garner, 44, split, Ben didn’t move out of the home they shared with their three children. And that turned out to be a pretty smart move. “Usually in Hollywood, with famous people, the house is so big, he can just move into another part of the home,” Raoul said.
“Brad shouldn’t have to move out, unless he wants to move in with another girl, why should he move out? He should just sit there until the end of the case.” That sounds like a doable plan to us!
