Beyonce could be giving a surprise performance of ‘Lemonade’ during the Emmy Awards on September 18, according to a new report! Queen Bey is reportedly thanking the Academy and its audience for nominating her visual album four times!
Excuse us while we go freak out! Beyonce is set to perform at some point during the 2016 Emmy Awards, according to a source who spoke to People! Queen Bey is reportedly taking over the stage with another explosive performance from Lemonade, her insane visual album that has taken over the world. Definitely the highlight of the night, right?
Beyonce is already at the Emmy Awards for a very good reason: Lemonade has been nominated for four awards, including outstanding directing for a variety special award alongside her co-director Kahlil Joseph. Even if Bey and her team don’t win a single award — and hopefully they do — they’ve achieved something amazing with this album. A surprise performance of her Lemonade hits would be the cherry on top of an incredible night at the 2016 Emmys! Beyonce was nominated for several Creative Arts Emmys, as well, but didn’t take home any awards.
Just a few weeks ago, Beyonce took over the MTV Video Music Awards, stealing the show with a 16-minute compilation of the biggest numbers from Lemonade. It wasn’t just Beyonce singing on stage, maybe dancing a little. She brought the album to life, reenacting all of the crazy, powerful music videos in real time with a team of dancers. At the Emmys, do you think she’d be able to light the stage on fire and splash the audience with water — or smash one of their cameras with a baseball bat? That’s the kind of show we’d love to see!
HollywoodLifers, how hard would you freak out if Beyonce performed during the Emmys? Tell us in the comments!
